VERSE OF THE WEEK
For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. – Ephesians 5:8
Walking in Light
The first part of this week’s verse reminds you that you were once a child of darkness, part of the world’s system with thoughts, words, and actions contrary to God’s ways. But, having seen the light that is Christ and received that Light into your own life, you are now to live as a contrast to the systems of the world… and do so brightly! When the light shines, what is hidden in darkness is exposed. Light also draws attention. Others are watching how you walk. As a representative of the Light that is Christ, prepare to be examined by the world. Hold your head up and walk confidently with the Lord. He’s shining through you!
